I can’t wait for the weekend
It’s only Thursday but these days I work so much during the week that my horses and dogs have to wait for the weekend for some good quality rides and walks. And that’s just what I love to do. The struggle between work and easing the financial burden, and actually enjoying life before you realize your too old to do the things you had hoped to do before you die, seems elusive. Can there be a balance between work and play while still paying ones bills and living comfortably?
Anyway, I’m off to Jackson for a night on Saturday. One night. That’s all the time (and the finances) my husband and I can muster during this time of the year. At least it’s better than nothing. I am planning a morning of canoeing on Brooks Lake, followed by an afternoon hike in the Bridger- Teton National Forest (puppy friendly), ending with a delicious dinner at the Old Yellowstone Garage. A sleep- in and late brunch before returning back to Dubois will complete the weekend. I would love to stay longer but I have 2 horses that desperately need a ride Sunday afternoon. If only we had an 8 day week….
