Just as the United States had the famous horse Seabiscuit, the Australians had a wonderful race horse called Phar Lap (below). This website gives a fantastic insight into a big hearted horse that became known as “Champion of the World”.
How can society continue to put these precious creatures (as well as the jockeys) at risk of injury and death?
