Thirty years ago Bayard Fox started Equitours in a renovated chicken coop on the Bitterroot Ranch, at the far end of a dirt road on the East Fork of the Wind River, Wyoming. The first office had one telephone on a party line and a typewriter. What Bayard lacked in technical equipment he made up for with vision, contacts around the world, and a passion for riding.

Since then, Equitours has grown into the world’s largest tour company specializing in horseback riding holidays. From the unpretentious office in Dubois, 6 full time employees organize riding holidays in 27 countries for thousands of clients.

Bayard and Equitours will be hosting an evening of entertainment with a slideshow presentation and narrative about Equitours riding vacations at Jackson Hole, Wyoming tonight, 10 May 2007.
