The perfect weekend….
I’m inspired by my recent Three Day Event exposure to fight the crazy howling Wyoming winds and get out and ride my mare. It looks like spring is in the air, it even sounds like it with birds chirping, but walk out there and man oh man- you can hardly hear yourself think, or see in front of you as your hair creates its own Cyclone Tracy around your face! I envy those people around the globe who can ride in temperate, calm climates year round. Although I am not about to give up on these breathtaking mountain views just yet!
So with a weekend of leg yielding, turn on forehands, rounding, keeping my chin up, my shoulders back and my lower legs on (sound familiar anyone??) while fighting the wind, I will plan to make my riding instructor proud. Perhaps proud may be asking a little much… how about just not as darn frustrated! Enjoy your weekend, hopefully in the presence of a wonderful horse.
