What if I am “that” guest???
I was traveling alone on my fall trip to Argentina. At both estancias- Patagonia and Los Potreros I was welcomed and met by other lone traveling souls. I found the experience eye opening and effortless. I met a lot of great people who I am sure will be “Argentina email buddies” with, for a while yet.
A definite plus was that the other guests I met were comfortable enough to be taking photos of each other, tactfully avoiding the slew of photos that a solo traveler often has of scenery, scenery, other people, more scenery….. We are now busy exchanging links to online photo galleries and sending images on CD around the world.
I guess there is always the idea that without someone to kick you under the table when you speak out of line, you may actually be “that guest” that absolutely drives everyone to tears and alcohol. As I have seen, it is more than likely you will be brought swiftly down to planet earth once you offend another guest!
